Applications

The main methods of metal mirror polishing include mechanical polishing, chemical polishing and electrolytic polishing.

 

Polishing is the process of gradually refining the surface of an object to obtain a smooth, clean surface or a flat surface finish. It is designed to remove cuts, scrapes and scratches from metal surfaces, giving the surface an impeccable shine and appearance.

Mechanical polishing manually removes dents and abrasions from metal surfaces using tools such as sandpaper, abrasive rods, felt wheels, polishing sponges and wool berets. High-speed turntables enable process automation and high-precision results. Mechanical polishing usually precedes chemical polishing and electrolytic polishing.
