Product Description:

A hex bolt consists of three main parts:

  1. Head: The hexagonal (six-sided) head is designed for tool engagement, typically with a wrench or socket. This shape allows for high torque application, ensuring a tight and secure fit.

  2. Shank: The shank is the unthreaded or partially threaded body of the bolt. In fully threaded bolts, the shank is entirely threaded, while in partially threaded bolts, only a portion of the shank is threaded.

  3. Threads: The threaded portion is used to secure the bolt into a tapped hole or nut. The threads provide the clamping force necessary to hold components together.

Advantages:
Exceptional Strength: These bolts can handle high mechanical stresses and pressure, making them ideal for critical applications in industries such as petrochemical and oil and gas.
Corrosion Resistance: The B8 and B8T materials provide resistance to oxidation and corrosion, ensuring a long lifespan even in extreme conditions.
Ease of Use: The hexagonal shape and heavy-duty design allow for easy installation with standard wrenches.

Maintenance Tips:
Regularly inspect the bolts for signs of wear or deformation, especially under high-stress conditions.
Lubricate bolts to reduce friction during tightening and ensure a secure connection.
In extremely hot or corrosive environments, replace bolts as necessary to maintain structural integrity.

Applications

1,Vibration Resistance
- Due to their strong structure and tight threading, hex bolts offer excellent vibration resistance, making them suitable for environments with heavy vibration or shocks, ensuring a secure connection.

2,Resistant to Environmental Changes
- Stainless steel and galvanized hex bolts can withstand harsh outdoor environments, including exposure to marine conditions and chemicals. Their anti-corrosive and oxidation-resistant properties provide long-lasting performance.

3,Aesthetic and Functional
- Hex bolts, especially stainless steel varieties, offer a smooth, polished appearance, making them ideal for applications where aesthetics matter, such as in architectural designs and decorative structures.

Hex bolts are indispensable in various industrial and consumer applications due to their strength, versatility, and ease of use. They provide reliable and durable fastening solutions across multiple sectors.

Generally required chromium content of 18% or more, nickel content of 8% or more, because of its good corrosion resistance, heat resistance and other advantages, often used in food processing, storage and transport, or applied to agriculture, auto parts, building materials, chemical industry, etc., is the most widely used stainless steel, accounting for almost more than half of the total production of stainless steel. 316 stainless steel generally require chromium content of more than 16%, nickel content of more than 10%, molybdenum content of more than 2%, nickel and molybdenum, the two alloying elements of the proportion of the enhancement, so that it has a better resistance to (acid) corrosion, welding performance, and so on, and therefore have a higher price, in the medical and surgical, fine industrial components, etc. to play a greater use.

ASTM A194 is a specification that covers various types of nuts made from carbon, alloy, and stainless steel, designed for use in high-pressure and high-temperature applications. The material properties of ASTM A194 nuts vary depending on the grade, with two notable grades being Grade 2H and Grade 8.

Grade 2H Nuts are made from quenched and tempered carbon steel, which gives them very high tensile strength and hardness. They can withstand temperatures up to approximately 1200°F (649°C), making them suitable for high-pressure and high-temperature environments such as oil and gas, petrochemical plants, and power generation facilities. However, their corrosion resistance is moderate and may require protective coatings.

Grade 8 Nuts, on the other hand, are made from high-strength stainless steel, typically AISI 304 or 316 variants. This material composition provides excellent corrosion resistance, making them ideal for use in corrosive environments such as marine and chemical processing industries. Grade 8 nuts have a lower tensile strength compared to Grade 2H and can tolerate temperatures up to approximately 842°F (450°C).

Both grades are manufactured to standardized dimensions to ensure compatibility with their respective bolts. Grade 2H nuts are designed for use with ASTM A193 Grade B7 bolts, while Grade 8 nuts are intended for use with ASTM A193 Grade B8 and B8M bolts. The choice between these grades depends on the specific requirements of the application, with Grade 2H being preferable for high-strength, high-temperature environments and Grade 8 being more suitable for applications requiring excellent corrosion resistance.
