Surface Treatment Processes

Sandblasting is a process for surface treatment of workpieces. Adopting compressed air as the power, it forms a high-speed jet beam to spray material (copper ore, quartz sand, emery, iron sand, or sea sand) onto the workpiece surface, changing its appearance or shape.

Due to the impact and cutting effect of the abrasive, the workpiece surface obtains a certain degree of cleanliness and different roughness, improving mechanical properties, fatigue resistance, and coating adhesion.

Cadmium plating is prone to 'cadmium brittle' phenomenon at higher temperatures under stress conditions. The plating layer can leach into steel at temperatures above 232°C, so usage should not exceed this temperature.
