With a standard electrode potential of -0.76V, zinc plating acts as an anodic coating for steel, providing excellent corrosion protection when properly passivated.

Cold Galvanizing (Electro-Galvanizing) Process: After degreasing and pickling, components are placed in a zinc salt solution and connected to a negative electrode, while a zinc plate serves as the positive electrode. Current deposits a zinc layer on the components.
